Working around to really posting and getting back to recording my life in the minute detail that will never be interesting to anyone, ever.

So far on our tight budget, we have spent nearly 25% of our weekly grocery/gas/etc. money on co-pays for Frank's breathing and Mimi's neck (weird, don't know what it was). And now Frank is saying his ear hurts and Cory's eardrum actually burst last night right after the fireworks.

But, enough of that same ole. We're home!! It's so good to be back together again, although it is marred by the news that Cory is taking an 8% paycut after we had just barely scraped together a bare bones budget that let us come home. Looks like goodbye cell phones and internet unless I get a job. Not really sure how I feel about that. I was just lamenting that it would be nice to have cable. But, having lived the way we did for 8 months has changed my perspective on a lot of things, and I know that we will squeak through one way or another.

Although I know it could be worse, it still would be nice for an end to the bad news. Sure is nice to be back together, though. :)

Welcome home!! :-) Sorry to hear about the money situation. I know how you feel, because we're in the same boat. I am still trying to figure out where else we can cut back. It sucks.

I enjoy a challenge and I think we've learned a lot by simplifying and cutting back, but there are surely things that suck.

Thanks for the welcome! What else are you guys up to?

We've been doing the usual. Both boys are off for the summer. Aaron has Tae Kwon Do summer camp and it's great because it's every day all day. They do tons of fun stuff like bowling, swimming, movies, TKD classes, etc. And it's so affordable.

Kameron is in preschool camp at the Lifetime gym I go to. It's two hours each morning on T and TH and he loves it. And it gives me just enough time to hit the grocery and run errands.

Matt doesn't like his job too much but it's a job and it pays, so I think he's staying put for now. I am just losing my mind daily and trying to keep up. The exercising has helped my attitude a lot and I feel better, but I still have a long way to go to being the calm, collected parent I want to be.

Yay, welcome home! Sorry it wasn't an easier homecoming.

An eardrum bursting sounds incredibly painful! Poor Cory.

He's burst that same eardrum maybe 4 or 5 times since Frank was born. From what I understand, it hurts terribly for like the hour up to the bursting, and then there is much relief. :)
